Data Protection Policy

SOLVIT – Innovation on Telecommunications Lda, needs to collect and process personal data from individuals for its business. This includes information from customers, suppliers, business contacts, employees and other people and members of organisations that it has contacted or may need to contact.

This policy describes how personal data should be collected, handled and stored in accordance with SOLVIT’s data protection requirements and the law, regardless of its medium (electronic, paper or otherwise).

The principles applicable to the protection of personal data are:

 a. Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: it is necessary to identify the legal basis for each processing of data and to inform data subjects in advance in clear and accessible language about the purposes and the way in which we do it.

 b. Purpose limitation: the specific purposes for processing personal data must be explicit, legitimate and determined when the personal data is collected. Data collected for one purpose must not be used for another purpose that does not follow from the first.

 c. Adequacy, relevance and minimisation: only personal data that is necessary and appropriate for the purposes intended will be processed.

 d. Accuracy and updating: the necessary measures must be taken to ensure that inaccurate data is corrected or deleted.

 e. Storage limitation: personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it is intended. A deadline for deletion or destruction will be set for each set.

 f. Security and confidentiality: personal data will be stored in a way to guarantee its protection and only the authorised personnel can access and process it.

 g. Privacy by design and by default: before any data processing takes place, measures will be taken to ensure that privacy is a concern from the outset and throughout the processing process.
